Athens-based Vintage Farms LLC, has begun development of a new neighborhood in Oconee County on Hodges Mill Road. The heavily wooded 79-acre site is located 2.1 miles from Georgia Highway 316.
The Vintage Farms development group has purchased land that has been held in one of the developer’s family for generations. Vintage Farm’s managing partners are Mitch Malcom and Russ Crump.
Plans for Vintage Farms call for the development of only 29 home sites on a layout of estate-sized lots ranging in size from 1.25 to 6 acres. There will be architectural controls and development covenants maintaining certain quality standards, but Vintage Farms’ focus will be on building custom homes for the home buyers.
